Many of you know Yen Dorado as part of the World Salsa Championship team of Eli and Yen. Sadly on Tuesday, November 9th Yen Dorado passed away. To say we are devastated is an understatement as this loss is felt not only by his loved ones but by those of you in the salsa community. Yen was dedicated to achieving his goals in life which included his career as a Nurse Practitioner as well as his career as a Salsa dance professional. Yen obtained his masters this summer and was at the cusp of starting a promising career in the medical field. He truly wanted to help the sick and provide the comfort they needed in their road to recovery. He spoke often of his love of working with children and the rewarding feeling he got from helping the sick. Yen will be truly missed. He touched a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten. There are people who come into our world and have an impact in our life directly or indirectly. Yen has touched many lives with his love of dancing and his determination to share with the world his love of salsa as well as his aspiration to comfort and heal those that were sick.

‘Some people come into our lives

And leave footprints on our hearts

And we are never ever the same.’ Please take a moment to remember Yen and honor his memory........thank you.
